Craft Ice Specialist / Ice Program
Role Overview: We are looking for a precision-oriented Craft Ice Specialist to oversee our "frozen assets." In this role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our ice—from managing directional freezing in Clinebell machines to hand-cutting bespoke shapes for service. You are the behind-the-scenes engineer ensuring every drink we serve is visually stunning and perfectly diluted.
Key Responsibilities
Production: Manage the freezing process of large-format clear ice blocks using directional freezing techniques.
Safely remove blocks from machines and temper them to the correct carving temperature. Maintain stock levels for multiple bar stations; ensure proper storage to prevent "wet ice" and "freezer burn". Perform routine deep-cleaning and basic troubleshooting of ice machines and filtration systems.
What We’re Looking For:
Manual Dexterity: Experience with power tools (saws, grinders) and hand tools is highly preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in cold environments (walk-in freezers) for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Attention to Detail: A "perfectionist" mindset regarding clarity, dimensions, and waste minimization.
Safety Conscious: Strict adherence to safety protocols for blade handling and cold-weather gear.
Background: Experience in high-end bartending, carpentry, or culinary prep is a significant plus. Flexible daytime shifts (no late nights required) Full gear provided (cut-resistant gloves, thermal wear, eye protection)
