Required Qualifications: Proper certification for teaching responsibilities, CHRC, Maine K-12 Art Teacher Certification 620
Preferred: Public school teaching experience
South Bristol Elementary School has a part-time opening for an Art Teacher, two days a week. South Bristol School is a special school on the coast of Maine with a cohesive, collaborative team, where our learners are our priority. With approximately eighteen staff and sixty learners, we have the very unique privilege to focus on individualized learner outcomes, social emotional growth, and personalized learning opportunities for each student.
The Successful Candidate Will
- be part of our dedicated team offering fun and educational learning opportunities to ignite students’ creativity through engaging lessons and hands-on experiences;
- collaborate with multiple team members to plan lessons, execute curriculum, and assess student learning and progress;
- guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their potential while providing rigorous and robust art instruction, support, and guidance to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students;
- develop and maintain positive rapport with students and engage them in active, purposeful learning by using meaningful pedagogy and best practices.
