SCHOOL NURSE
Greenville Consolidated School is seeking a compassionate, student-centered, and highly organized School Nurse to support the health, safety, and wellness of our students and staff. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting a healthy learning environment while collaborating with families, staff, and community healthcare providers.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students and staff
- Assess and respond to student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries
- Administer medications and maintain accurate health records
- Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans
- Ensure compliance with state immunization requirements and health regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, medical providers, and school personnel
- Support health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA, HIPAA, and district policies
- Participate in emergency response planning and school safety procedures
Qualifications
- Current Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Maine Department of Education School Nurse Certification (524) preferred or ability to obtain
- Experience working with children or within a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
