Position Summary
Chebeague Island Inn, a 21-room oceanfront boutique hotel and part of Prentice Hospitality Group, is seeking a seasonal Assistant General Manager to help lead daily operations. This role functions primarily as the General Manager of our restaurant, event, and food & beverage program, while also providing supplemental leadership across Inn operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, develops strong teams, delivers exceptional guest experiences, and drives financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all restaurant and food & beverage operations as the acting GM of the restaurant.
Manage daily Inn operations alongside the General Manager.
Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members.
Drive guest satisfaction and uphold service standards.
Manage labor, costs, inventory, and profitability.
Ensure operational excellence, cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
Foster a positive, accountable, hospitality-driven culture.
Qualifications:
2+ years of management experience in restaurants, hotels, or hospitality.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Experience managing labor, budgets, and P&L performance.
Excellent communication, organization, and guest service skills.
Comfortable working in a hands-on leadership role.
