Join the opening team at Moxy Hotel & Residence Inn Portland Thompson’s Point, a brand-new dual-branded Marriott hotel bringing fresh energy, style, and hospitality to one of Portland’s most exciting waterfront destinations, opening Summer 2026. As we get ready to open our brand-new hotel, we’re looking for Cooks who bring passion, precision, and great energy to the kitchen. If you love the rhythm of a busy service, take pride in every plate, and enjoy being part of a tight-knit team, this is your chance to help create something from day one.
This isn’t just cooking—it’s helping craft the guest experience, one dish at a time.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing and cooking menu items with consistency, quality, and care
- Following recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- Working side-by-side with the kitchen team to keep service smooth and efficient
- Making sure every dish goes out fresh, hot, and on time
- Keeping food safety top of mind—proper temps, labeling, and rotation always
- Supporting prep, stocking, and setting up for each shift
- Keeping your station clean, organized, and ready for action
- Jumping in wherever needed—because great kitchens run on teamwork
- Helping with deliveries, dishwashing, and end-of-shift cleanup

- Previous kitchen or hotel experience
- Food safety or ServSafe certification
