Position Summary
We are seeking Dishwashers to join our seasonal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant from cooking, dishwashing, food preparation, and more. Candidates should be aware specific responsibilities could change daily, depending on operations.
These are seasonal roles starting now to early October (exact dates may vary). The candidate will need to have reliable transportation to and from Chebeague Island Inn or find housing on the Island.
Key Responsibilities
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, kitchen floors, trash areas, and back-of-house spaces
Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as restocking supplies, receiving deliveries, or food prep as needed
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times
Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures
Qualifications
Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Team-oriented with a positive, reliable attitude
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
