NOW HIRING - Entry Level Shop Help
Location: Jim's Auto Repair
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $20–$26/hour (based on experience)
Jim's Auto Repair is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Shop Helper. No professional automotive experience is required—we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in the automotive repair industry.
Consistent hours: Mon.–Thu. 8:00–5:00, Fri. 8:00-Noon, WEEKENDS OFF!
Overtime available upon request.
What You'll Do
Perform oil changes and routine maintenance
Rotate and install tires
Check and maintain fluid levels on vehicles
Replace wiper blades, air filters, and light bulbs
Keep the shop clean and organized
Assist technicians with vehicle repairs
Pick up parts and help move vehicles
Learn basic automotive repair and maintenance procedures
Willingness to acquire Maine State Inspection License Class A and E
Qualifications
Valid driver's license
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Basic mechanical knowledge preferred but not required
Automotive school or previous shop experience is a plus
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable and punctual
