This position is responsible for maintaining clean linens, uniforms, towels, and other laundry items in a safe and efficient manner. Laundry Attendant Responsibilities:
Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment
Wash, dry, fold, and organize laundry items according to company procedures
Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and washing requirements
Inspect items for stains, damage, or repairs needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
Monitor and restock laundry supplies and detergents
Follow sanitation, safety, and workplace procedures at all times
Assist with additional housekeeping or support duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning experience is a plus but not required
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
Work Environment:
This position involves working indoors in a laundry facility or housekeeping environment with exposure to heat, steam, detergents, and cleaning products. Protective equipment may be provided as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying of laundry items
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
Ability to safely operate laundry equipment throughout the shift
