Position Overview:
As a Production Assistant at Squier’s, you’ll play a key role in every step of our production process—from making beverages and gummies to labeling, packing, and distribution. You’ll work closely with the Production Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing line while maintaining our high standards for quality and safety.
This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM schedule and a benefits package after 90 days. It’s a great opportunity for someone in the restaurant industry or food production looking for a change, or anyone eager to join the cannabis space and learn from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Manufacturing:
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
- Support all aspects of production for beverages and gummies, including:
- Mixing, blending, and batching of ingredients following detailed recipes.
- Assisting with recipe development and R&D for new products.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Labeling & Packaging:
- Apply labels to cans, bottles, and gummy packaging with precision.
- Inspect products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulations.
- Pack finished products, seal cartons, palletize, and prepare for shipping.
Inventory & Distribution:
- Assist in managing raw materials and finished goods inventory.
- Maintain accurate records and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) protocols.
- Help with loading/unloading delivery vehicles and participate in local deliveries as needed.
- Execute weekly delivery routes.
Quality Control:
- Participate in quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet our standards.
- Report defects or issues proactively and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Assist with product testing and quality assurance processes.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Production Manager and team to meet production goals.
- Follow supervisors’ direction while also contributing ideas for process improvement.
- Be a team player—ready to help wherever needed in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean Driving Record
- Prior experience in manufacturing, production, food service, or culinary is a plus but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Comfortable lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to following them.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a positive, team-first attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
