SHIFT: Day, Swing and Weekend
LOCATION: Portland, Maine
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will be working as a Lead Maintenance Tech. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment in a food production facility.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
* Maintain required equipment logs.
* Repair pumps and vacuum systems.
* Responsible for planning work time to meet all needs of the plant.
* Ability to work in adverse conditions safely.
* Provide routine preventative maintenance.
* Modify existing equipment for new uses.
* Fabricate new equipment.
* Work with Production personnel to maintain and improve quality.
* Adhere to all facets of personnel and food safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 2 years' experience in equipment maintenance
· Training beyond High School including either: Associate (A.S.) degree in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience which may include Skilled Trades programs or military training.
o Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens Controllers
o Prior Experience with motors, gearboxes and direct conveyor drive units
· Ability to diagnose and correct problems
· Work from oral and written instructions, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and code books
· Has a broad knowledge of applied electrical practices, techniques and theory
· Great communication- written and verbal skills
