At Ridge Maine, RNs and LPNs report to the Lead RN to provide nursing care to support the physical and mental well-being of residents.
The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative and organized individual with psychiatric nursing experience with youth.
Position Summary: The 2nd Shift Nurse will work in collaboration with the Lead Nurse to coordinate and oversee care of residents ages 12 - 18. This role serves as a unique member of each resident’s treatment team in order to promote comprehensive and collaborative care into the evening and early night hours. In addition, the Nurse will offer support to direct care staff and the clinical team in order to enhance treatment outcomes, and serve as a Supervisor for the Overnight Behavioral Health Professionals. This support may include the provision of healthcare information and training to staff, such as hand washing protocols, and work to promote health and safety in the workplace according to US Department of Labor and OSHA standards through the maintenance of first aid equipment and supplies, including personal protective equipment and materials necessary for proper disposal of bio hazardous waste, and through routine inspection of work areas for the purpose of identifying and correcting unsafe conditions. At times, under the direction of the Lead Nurse, the Nurse may run resident groups related to health, nutrition, wellbeing, and safety. The 2nd Shift Nurse will represent Ridge Maine to consumers and to the community in a manner that is professional and congruent with Ridge Maine’s mission. As a member of the nursing team, the nurse may provide coverage at the Farmhouse Campus, as needed.

Second and Third shift positions are currently available at our Lakehouse Campus in South China and Farmhouse Campus in Morrill.
2nd Shift nurses typically work from 2:00 pm - Midnight, 4 days a week
3rd Shift nurses typically work from 11:00 pm - 9:00 am, 4 days a week
Potential for part-time positions also!
Salary range, depending on experience and license: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Requirements:
Must hold an active Maine nursing license
