Job Overview
AtlanticLoad LLC, a growing freight carrier based in Portland, Maine, is looking for an experienced CDL driver to run regional routes throughout New England. This is a contract position with a company-provided truck, competitive per-mile pay, and weekly settlements.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided CDL vehicle on regional New England routes
- Pick up and deliver freight on time in accordance with load instructions
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, and hours-of-service records
- Communicate proactively with dispatch on load status, delays, or issues
- Handle freight professionally, including basic loading/unloading as needed
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A, B, or C license (Class A drivers receive higher pay)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Current DOT medical card, and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to travel regionally across New England, including occasional overnights
- Reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently under a 1099 arrangement
