We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, customer focused, Inside Salesperson to join our team at our Kingfield, Maine location. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a customer focused attitude.
An Inside Salesperson provides prompt, courteous service to customers in the store and on the phone. The Inside Salesperson processes sales, returns, payments to account, and project estimation. The Inside Salesperson also functions in a support role for external sales staff. This position will require cooperation with all supervisory staff, delivery drivers, and store personnel. This position reports to the Store Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all company policies and safety standards.
- Proactively reach out to existing and potential customers to generate sales opportunities and build relationships.
- Has a deep understanding of our building supply products and services to effectively address customer inquiries and provide tailored solutions.
- Process orders, handle customer requests, and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of sales transactions.
- Completes project estimation for customers within the deadline needed.
- Supports outside sales effort by providing quotes and writing orders.
- Sources special order material from vendors.
- Follows guidelines to achieve sales and margin goals.
- Offer exceptional support to customers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and providing product recommendations.
- Work closely with the sales teams at all locations, warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and enhance sales strategies.
- Perform tasks deemed necessary by supervisory staff.
Requirements:
- Experience in inside sales, preferably within the building supply or related industry.
- Strong understanding of building materials, construction products, and industry terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Computer proficiency and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
This position is performed in a temperature-controlled environment. The Inside Salesperson may be asked to perform duties outside that are in an open warehouse or in the elements where they may be exposed to extreme heat, cold, and rain.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
