We are working with our client Player Design, Inc in seeking a Human Resources Manager, to be based in their Portland, Maine or Presque Isle, Maine office.
Requirements of the HR Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, business administration or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, 3+ years in a management position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of human resources strategies and requirements is required.
- Ability to architect comprehensive and market competitive HR strategy.
- Periodic travel is required to various sites.
Benefits of the Job:
- Pay in the range of: $100,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities of the HR Manager:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal labor requirements in many different jurisdictions.
- Manage and facilitate staffing activities, including coordination of recruiting, hiring, annual reviews and terminations.
- Address employee concerns, including counseling management and employees as needed.
- Develop training program in compliance with state regulations and company needs.
- Maintain human resource records in an organized manner in compliance with record retention regulations and management needed.
- Manage employee benefits plans including assessment and selection of benefit offerings, communication to employees and addition or termination of benefits.
- Maintain the company handbooks.
- Report and reconcile payroll hours and withholdings.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Player Design, Inc. is a leader in solid fuel energy systems and industrial drying systems. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and has one direct report employee.
