Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Site Engineer develops efficient systems, processes, and machines that result in high-quality products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Director of Manufacturing and/or Technician Manager to set and assess priorities across teams.
- Supervises tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.
- Assesses cost effectiveness of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Prepares and implements the departmental budget.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working in the industry and completion of professional development programs designed to keep Manufacturing Engineers current preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift 50 lbs. and regularly lift to 30lbs, handle tasks involving frequent bending, twisting, lifting, squatting, walking, and standing.
- Must be Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA requirements.
- able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
