Job Description:
Bourque Clegg Causey & Morin LLC, a well-established law firm based in Sanford, Maine, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic full-time Attorney to join our team. This position will primarily focus on family law and civil litigation, with the potential to work in additional practice areas depending on the firm's needs and the attorney's interests. Responsibilities:
- Family Law: Represent clients in divorce, custody, support, and other family-related matters.
- Civil Litigation: Handle a broad range of civil cases, including but not limited to contract disputes, personal injury, real estate litigation, and probate litigation.
- Client Interaction: Provide clear, compassionate, and professional legal advice to clients.
- Court Representation: Prepare for and represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, depositions and mediations.
- Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff within the firm to ensure comprehensive client service.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in the state of Maine (or eligibility to become licensed).
- Experience: The firm is open to considering both entry-level candidates as well as lateral hires with relevant experience.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
