Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled Line Cooks/Prep Cooks to join our team at the historic Rangeley Tavern. You will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation and ensuring food safety standards are met. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant and catering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Operate kitchen equipment, including knives and other tools, safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all dietary restrictions and special requests from customers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook or similar role in the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
