Falmouth Public Schools seeks a highly organized and professional Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for a temporary assignment in our District Office. The successful candidate will play a critical role supporting the day-to-day operations of the Superintendent's Office. This position will be from December 16th, 2024 through early March 2025.
Falmouth Schools are located on a 100-acre district K-12 campus in Falmouth Maine, a coastal community bordering the city of Portland. Our campus features extensive fields, trails, gardens and hoop houses, and rich opportunities for collaboration between schools. The ideal candidate will:
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Be technologically savvy and comfortable with an array of software applications and have a willingness to learn
- Be extremely detail oriented
- Be a positive, proactive, and independent problem solver
- Have excellent time management and task-prioritization skills
- Have an understanding of confidentiality requirements and professional ethics
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-3 years administrative assistant/reception experience
This position reports to the Superintendent of Schools, while also providing general support to other district office staff:
- Answer phones and greet visitors to district office
- Process student work permits
- Process daily interoffice and US mail.
- Supply ordering for Central Office as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m
Pay Rate: $25/hr
