Location: 92 Creamery Lane - New Gloucester, ME
Schedule: Full-time, 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday (with flexibility required)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Maintenance Manager to ensure our plant equipment and facilities are operating smoothly and safely. This role is crucial in maintaining system functionality through preventive maintenance, prompt repairs, and efficient equipment management, all while minimizing downtime. This individual will play an essential role in keeping our operations running smoothly and supporting company-wide objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all production and facilities equipment is in safe, working order.
- Conduct pre-operational checks with Quality Assurance to confirm equipment readiness.
- Limit downtime by implementing best practices in preventive maintenance.
- Oversee systems, including refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and drainage, HVAC, fire suppression, and materials handling (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Manage maintenance requests through a work order system.
- Maintain and execute a preventive maintenance schedule.
- Ensure compliance with third-party auditing bodies.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractor work as necessary.
- Manage rubbish and cardboard removal.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Respond to emergency or adverse conditions outside regular hours as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet organizational goals.
- Complete additional maintenance-related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a progressively responsible maintenance environment, with experience in process improvement and a basic understanding of food safety systems.
- Skills: Proficiency in following up on tasks, and following both verbal and written instructions. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, along with an intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver’s license.

Our meat cutting and packing facility (“The CAP”) located on the Pineland Farms campus, presents a variety of product possibilities including case-ready steak and ground beef options, either plain or marinated/seasoned, holiday roasts, and other offerings. We offer a variety of packaging options for retail, as well as bulk packs for foodservice customers.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
