Open availability ranging from opening shifts, closing shifts, weekends, and Holidays
-This job includes deep cleaning every kennel, each night. Letting dogs in and outside, feeding and giving medications to both cats and dogs.
-Weekends and Holidays are required
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners and visitors
- Assist with the daily care of animals, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kennel area
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or supervisor
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and coworkers
- Ability to handle heavy lifting, as some animals may require assistance or restraint
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and care
- Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and following instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
