Entry Level Cultivator/Harvest Associate
Associate will be responsible for preparing and processing all harvests for flower sales and/or oil extraction. They will also be responsible for maintaining the highest level of equipment sanitization and sterilization as well as maintaining the overall facility’s cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for plants, a strong work ethic, ability to multitask and excellent time management skills
Responsibilities and Duties
- This position supports all aspects of grow operations from planting to harvesting, including cleaning and sanitizing.
- The job will include assisting with the growth process of planting, maintaining plants, as well as cutting plants, de-leafing/pruning, and shucking wet cannabis plants.
- The Entry Level Cultivator/Harvest Associate should have the ability to perform intensive manual labor, stand for long periods of time, and carry out repetitive tasks.
- Prepare grow areas including transporting grow pots to growing areas, filling grow pots with soil, transplanting plants into grow pots, setting up irrigation lines, and labeling plants.
- Harvesting: cutting plants; trimming plants; sanitize and clean growing areas, cultivation workspaces, and tools; ensure that all spaces are clean and free mildew, mold, or fungus.
- Compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols
- Any other tasks assigned by Head Grower/Operations Manager
- Adhere to company specific overall growing practices
Job Requirements
Must be over 21 years of age
Must take and pass a background check
Must be a Maine resident
Must have or obtain an Individual Identification Card (IIC)
Ability to work as a solid team player as well as motivated self-starter
Ability to maintain confidentiality and willing to sign a nondisclosure
Ability to focus and have a strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as a team
Absolute reliability and honesty
Ability to adapt to faced-paced and changing environment, while maintaining a positive attitude
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds.
Ability to spend extended time walking, standing, bending, reaching over and/or crouching.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to perform labor intensive landscaping work.
Ability to execute established growing techniques consistently.
