GWI Financial Business Analyst Maine/ Remote GWI is seeking a Financial Business Analyst, to work remotely based on the East Coast. This role is pivotal in driving the financial and operational success of fiber network expansion projects. If you have a passion for technology, a knack for numbers, a drive to make an impact, and familiarity with leveraging public funds to support telecommunications projects, we want you on our team. Requirements of the Financial Business Analyst:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
3+ years’ experience in a financial or business analysis role
Experience in the Telecommunications sector is preferred
Ability to interpret large sets of data and translate to actionable strategies
Excellent communication skills and ability to present recommendations to stakeholders
Experience with financial forecasting, modeling, and budgeting
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, Sage. GIS knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities of the Financial Business Analyst:

Financial Analysis and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, costs, and profitability
Provide analysis on economics of deploying fiber networks, including cost analysis of infrastructure, operational efficiencies, and financial sustainability of fiber projects
Analyze funding and financing options to support expansion efforts
Collaborate with the sales team to analyze trends and evaluate sales performance using insights to contribute to sales strategies that align with the economics of fiber expansion
Conduct comprehensive market research assessing market demand, penetration rates and return on investment.
Collaborate with project managers, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure alignment between sales objectives, financial viability and technical requirements.
Assess partnership opportunities, government grants and other innovative funding models to support fiber optic internet buildouts
