JOB MISSION:

As a Mechanic III you will perform complex duties while adhering to departmental standards and machine maintenance schedules.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assist less experienced support technicians during repair projects; and work closely with team in an effort to cross train them on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Utilize a broad range of hand power tools to perform various duties.
Detect and repair improper operation of equipment.
Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards. Proactively, identifies safety issues and communicates them.
Work closely with seasoned members of your team to become cross-trained on all manufacturing machinery and equipment in all departments
Utilizes a working knowledge of all machinery, equipment and processes.
Lead and track projects coordinating tasks to meet deadlines.
Work closely with Mechanic IV on TPM/Lean Initiatives.
Proactively seeks feedback and incorporates it into solutions.
Demonstrates a proactive approach to TPM/Lean initiatives
Supports and trains the Mechanic I and II

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

Minimum of 5 or more years of shop training or machine operator experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Must have mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical expertise.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lead activities for their individual projects.
Must have a general understanding of arc flash hazards.
Must be familiar with OSHA standard, such as Lockout/Tagout
Takes responsibility for seeing that all projects follow the guidelines and requirements established by the team.
Demonstrates initiative through drive and focus by leading a team to solve issues despite challenges.
Moderate to heavy lifting is required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Working with programmable controls and robots
Knowledge of PLC design, program and installation
