Compensation:

$90,000 - $175,000

Responsibilities:Litigate and resolve matters related to divorce and separation, covering areas such as property division, child custody, and spousal supportMaintain effective communication with clients and other relevant parties involved in legal proceedingsNegotiate agreements on behalf of clients, demonstrating strong client advocacy skillsRepresent clients in courtroom proceedings, including interim hearings, mediations, depositions, and trialsConduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw and offer expert legal advice to clientsDraft a variety of legal documents, such as pleadings, briefs, and the occasional appealQualifications:1 - 5+ years of experience practicing family lawMembership and good standing with the Maine Bar (willing to consider the right out-of-state candidate)Strong negotiation and mediation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesIn-depth knowledge of family law regulations and proceduresSignificant courtroom litigation experienceClient-centered approach, demonstrated through compassion, connection, and clear communicationAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic legal teamAbout Company
