Landry/French is seeking a temp to perm Project Accountant to join our team. The individual will be responsible for assisting the accounting team while one of our project accountants is out on leave. They are responsible for a wide range of activities that support the accounting department as well as the project management department, with direct reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Excellent computer skills, can-do attitude, professional appearance, and the ability to multi-task.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to maintenance of project financials, including:

Accurate preparation of monthly owner requisitions.
Review and obtain approval of subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.
Process and distribute owner and subcontractor change orders.
Manage subcontractor compliance with terms and conditions of the contract (i.e., maintain insurance certificates, waivers, billing procedures).
Process vendor and subcontractor payments and collect lien waivers.
Input project budget and schedule of values in accounting software.
Accounts Payable duties include maintaining vendors, entering invoices, and ensuring timely payment.
Collect project close-out documentation.
Create a directory for project contacts.
Provide project management with timely financial reports.
Update contracts and insurance certificates upon client’s request.

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS:

Degree in Accounting or Project Management preferred.
Minimum of 3 Years accounting experience.
Proficient in various Constructionsoftware applications: Acumatica, Procore, Workforce Now for Construction.
Previous experience with construction and certified payroll a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work effectively as an individual and as an integral part of a team.
Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.).

Job Type: Temporary

Base Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
