About
I’ve been working in fundraising, sales and marketing for last decade or so. During my time at the University of New Hampshire, I was trained on successful phonathon fundraising practices and connected with thousands of donors across the country each semester. I was ultimately promoted twice over the next three years with record donor retention and fundraising revenue. After graduating, I spent the first 6 (almost 7) years of my career working as an individual contributor on the sales team at a large Fortune 500 logistics company and I spent the last 3+ years in a leadership position at a firearms manufacturer. In the logistics industry, I was lucky enough to learn from some of the most skilled negotiators in the country. I came to appreciate authentic, long-term customer relationships and the power of a consultative sales approach. In the firearms industry, I learned the value of innovative branding strategies from a highly effective marketing team and had the pleasure of building and leading the company's sales department from the ground up. Together, we exceeded expectations year over year and developed a multi-faceted skillset along the way. I am firm believer that real leadership begins and ends with listening-to-understand (as opposed to listening-to-respond), and that any leader should be continuously focused on improving interpersonal communication skills to be truly effective.
