About

I worked at Fiber Materials Inc. as an Engineer in various roles for 17 years. They produce high Proformance composite materials for the aerospace industry. Most recently I served as a Quality Engineer for 3 years during which time I gained ASQ certification as a CQE and learned and applied various lean and six sigma tools and principals.

In this role I was responsible for responding to non-conformance reports; ensuring proper containment and performing root-cause investigations and initiating corrective actions, as well as reviewing process and inspection documentation on product to ensure compliance with all customer requirements before shipment. I performed internal audits and helped the company achieve AS-9100 certification.

Prior to this I was a manufacturing process engineer. During this time I developed a pultrusion process for the production of carbon fiber rods and provided continuous engineering support for this and other processes for over a decade. I also developed a chemical process for the purification of colloidal silica.
