About
My name is Patricia Lemire, and the past three years of working in my hometown elementary school have been precious: our family plan, however, now requires that I move forward in my career.
Prior to education, my background is in retail: not just one aspect, however, but multiple. I typically describe my experience in the corporate world as cross-trained. I began in a part-time retail sales position, working my way through the ranks, and picking up skills along the way. After several years as stockroom manager I was invited to apply for a corporate position in the Inventory Control Department. I spent the next six years in our corporate office: I enjoyed researching and resolving variances, performing cycle counts, balancing credits/debits, and training store staff on stockroom procedures, while constantly striving to improve inventory accuracy. I also created a detailed Physical Inventory Reconciliation manual for our retail stores, assisted with a POS launch, and wrote Policy and Procedure manuals for said new POS system. Additionally, my cross-training in the retail store continued to provide me with a wide scope of understanding, which benefited my interactions with other departments when trying to solve problems. From understanding the practical elements involved in processing a shipment, to researching why a sku from a third-party-vendor wasn’t being properly acknowledged in our system (and how to make that concept make sense to a sixteen-year-old in the store working at a register), I confidently completed all tasks.
I am a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive person who strives to make each work day positive and successful. I am a problem solver and a quick study, I am not afraid to ask questions, and am always interested in learning how things interconnect to become more efficient and successful overall.
