An established healthcare organization in Maine is hiring an experienced Director of Laboratory to lead and stabilize lab operations across a 200+ bed hospital and its affiliated sites. This role is ideal for a laboratory leader who brings regulatory depth and operational clarity to evolving environments.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of laboratory operations across hospital and outpatient sites
Ensure full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
Lead audits, surveys, and performance assessments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across nursing, clinical, and executive leadership
Standardize workflows, improve lab efficiency, and support clinical excellence

Ideal Candidate

Strong leadership experience in hospital-based laboratory operations
Deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (CLIA, CAP, etc.)
Proven success managing lab teams and improving operational performance
Experience with multi-site oversight or participation in transitions/integrations is a plus
Strong communication and problem-solving skills in fast-moving environments
