An established healthcare organization in Maine is hiring an experienced Director of Laboratory to lead and stabilize lab operations across a 200+ bed hospital and its affiliated sites. This role is ideal for a laboratory leader who brings regulatory depth and operational clarity to evolving environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
- Lead audits, surveys, and performance assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across nursing, clinical, and executive leadership
- Standardize workflows, improve lab efficiency, and support clinical excellence
Ideal Candidate
- Strong leadership experience in hospital-based laboratory operations
- Deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (CLIA, CAP, etc.)
- Proven success managing lab teams and improving operational performance
- Experience with multi-site oversight or participation in transitions/integrations is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills in fast-moving environments
