Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, roads, parks, and other infrastructure components to ensure safety and proper functioning
Operate various tools and equipment including mowers, drills, and hand tools to complete maintenance tasks efficiently
Conduct inspections of infrastructure assets using devices such as ohmmeters (used for measuring electrical resistance) to troubleshoot issues
Assist in installing, repairing, or replacing public utilities such as streetlights, signage, and drainage systems
Support emergency response efforts by clearing debris, managing traffic control setups, and assisting with repairs during adverse weather conditions
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for accountability and reporting purposes
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols

Skills

Proficiency in operating basic hand tools and machinery used in public works maintenance ,commercial Drivers license and/or heavy equipment operation experience a plus but will train the right candidate.
Ability to read technical diagrams and interpret work orders clearly
Experience with electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters is highly desirable
Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including long hours plowing snow.
Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues effectively

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
