Seeking landscapers!

- Are you physically strong, a team player, interested in our ecosystem, and are able to work hard outdoors, including in the heat of summer?
- Do you have at least 1-2 years experience farming or gardening, including knowledge of how to weed and how to plant?

Positions open for crew member or crew leader with Buena Vista Landscaping, a small, woman owned, ecological landscaping crew (think mostly natives, and gardens as habitat) based in Gorham.

Management experience required if seeking the crew leader role.

Pay depends on ability/experience, $23 to $25 starting wage (could me more for crew leader role).

Season runs early April through October/November.

(Solamente habla español y quiere trabajar? Mandame correo en español y podemos hablar todos los detalles)

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, plus one Monday a month. Averages about 34 hours per week.

Requirements:
Must be athletic and strong (think digging, raking, weeding and pushing heavy wheelbarrows up hill in all weather, and able to lift 50 pounds comfortably).

Must be professional, self motivated, and enthusiastic about work with plants. This job works for folks who enjoy and can handle average 35 hrs per week (7-10 hour days) heavy labor in a small, supportive, focused team and enjoy getting sweaty outdoors with the bees and butterflies and plants that we care for.

It's also essential that you're willing and able to learn plant identification and care.

Must have driver's license and a clean driving record, no at fault accidents. Experience driving pickup trucks preferred.

This is NOT a mow and blow crew. This is an earth friendly small company that takes pride in creative, professional, and above all ecologically beneficial garden design, installation and maintenance work. Our goal is to make beautiful gardens that are healthy habitat for the native plants, insects, and animals that need to use them to thrive.
