We are looking for an experienced, energetic RN Nurse Manager. This position is an integral part of our care management team, supporting our very special Veteran residents on the Skilled/Transitional Care Unit.
RN Nurse Manager Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to each resident by coordinating a meaningful interdisciplinary Plan of Care
- Overseeing the medication process to include review of proper procedures and accountability
- Ensuring all nursing and medical records properly document the quality of care in order to meet state, federal and VA regulations
- Maintaining adequate staffing
- Investigating unit incident reports accurately, and with timely resolve
- Communicating unit needs clearly to the DNS, making written and oral reports/recommendations as needed
- Supervising nurses and direct care staff in a fair and consistent manner, including training, performance review and counseling

Experience and Skills
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse License, authorized to work in the State of Maine
- A combination of 3-5 years training and experience in post-acute care/rehabilitation
- Prior supervisory experience in a long term care facility highly desirable
