Job Summary: The Master Electrician Supervisor will have direct responsibility for administrative and technical management of the electricians on the construction site. This position will oversee labor and subcontractors. Other responsibilities include ensuring safety for all, monitoring the quality of work performed, and adhering to a schedule. The Master Electrician Supervisor will coordinate directly with a dedicated Project Manager or Superintendent depending on project size. Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and enforce strict safety guidelines
- Daily reporting of hours, progress reports, safety records, and other related documents
- Supervise electricians at the job site
- Review blueprints, plans, and other project-related documents
- Self-perform layout
- Attend daily/weekly meetings with subcontractors, project manager, and owners
- Maintain project schedule
- Balance time to keep track of progress of work being performed on the job or project
Education, Experience, and Knowledge Qualifications:
- First aid preferred
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
- Must have electrical license or reciprocal for State of Maine
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the NEC
- Knowledge of how to use the latest technology including, but not limited to computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, Procore, email, Zoom, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate a practical knowledge of common tasks including wiring, grounding, interconnections, permitting, and inspections
- Must have experience with Fire Alarm Wiring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, or residential construction
- Minimum 1 years of supervisory experience
- Experience with projects $1M +
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of construction from surveying and layout to finishes
- Ability to communicate effectively with workers, subcontractors, vendors, and office staff
- Work with limited supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong problem solving skills
- Must have a valid drivers license with no violations in the past ten years
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to travel within the state of Maine
