We are expanding our Medical Leadership Team!! Greater Portland Health, a nationally recognized patient-centered facility, and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking a Physician to provide exceptional health care to our Primary Care patient base. The Senior Medical Director will also oversee and coordinate quality improvement and assurance activities for medical providers across the organization. Additionally, the Senior Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, hiring, management, and supervision of medical directors. The right candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare that is accessible, affordable, and culturally sensitive.

Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maine.
• Must be board certified or board eligible in own specialty.
• Must have practiced in a managed care environment (5 years desired). Previous experience with managed care contracts preferred.
• Large group or multi-specialty group experience preferred.
• Experience with a risk product (capitation experience preferred).
• Previous experience as a Medical Director desired (clinic, hospital, health plan).
• Previous development or coordination of a project or department preferred.
• Previous experience dealing with individual providers on quality improvement, risk management, and improved utilization.
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to implement Quality Assurance, utilization review, peer review activities, and continuous quality improvement.
