Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Feline Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate needs to be passionate about animals and be eager to learn.
Duties:
- Assist with the daily care of the felines. This includes cleaning litter boxes, refiling food and water, giving clean linens, and cleaning the cages daily
- Handle animals with care and compassion
- Work well with ofter staff members and be Willing to lend a hand
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of feline areas
- Assist with administering medication under the direction of veterinary staff
- Be able to speak with potential adopters about the adoption process and help them choose a new best friend
Experience:
- Experience in animal handling, pet care , or related field preferred but not required
- General knowledge of animals preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Comfortable with animal handling and pet care
- Previous experience in kennel work or pet sitting is a plus
