Duties
- Your #1 duty: Show your patients that you actually care about a good outcome for them.
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and ankles to diagnose conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform minor surgical procedures in office as necessary
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding foot care, preventive measures, and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including those specializing in emergency room care, internal medicine, hospice palliative medicine, acute pain management, occupational health, addiction medicine, pediatric critical intensive care, immunology, and behavioral health.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in podiatric medicine through continuous education and professional development.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of 3 year residency
- Valid state license to practice podiatry or able to obtain
- Board certification preferred, but not required
- Must be able to travel to local nursing homes to provide care
- Strong clinical skills
- Knowledge of internal medicine principles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
