Job Overview:
Eagle Rental has an immediate opening for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team.
As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting with the financial operations of our organization. This includes ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, is detail-oriented, and possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast paced environment. Idea candidate has good computer skills.
This job is an in-person position with no remote work available.
Responsibilities:
- Work in all aspects of the accounting department, including payroll, H.R., accounts receivable, daily reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as needed
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Experience:
- Proficient/excels in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Excel programs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting (preferable to have Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting)
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a plus
- D.O.T. record keeping is a plus
- Strong knowledge of financial services industry practices
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
-Experience with Sales Tax, Payroll and Depreciation schedules.
This is a Full time or Part Time opening. Pay will be based on experience.
