ProSearch is hiring for a Temporary Accounting Analyst in Westbrook, Maine. The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for pulling, analyzing, and reviewing data, processing billing transactions, and producing reports to support business decision-making. Responsibilities
- Pull, clean, and analyze billing and financial data from various sources
- Process billing transactions accurately and on schedule
- Prepare financial and billing reports for internal teams and leadership review
- Use Microsoft Excel to build and maintain spreadsheets using advanced formulas and pivot tables
- Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of billing and reporting outputs
- Review financial records and billing discrepancies to resolve data or payment issues
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify billing processes, data needs, and reporting schedules
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in billing operations and data workflows
- Support financial documentation and data preparation for audits or internal reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field
- 3+ of experience in billing, data analysis, or financial operations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and financial modeling
- Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills
- Comfort working with financial data, including interpreting trends, variances, and performance indicators
- Experience with financial systems such as SAP or subscription billing platforms like ChargeBee
- High attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus
