Forklift -Loader
Overview:
The Forklift – Truck loader will have experience operating forklifts, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. As a Forklift Truck Loader, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, organizing warehouse inventory, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods.
Schedule: 2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm M-F
Forklift -Loader Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Verify the accuracy of load orders and ensure proper materials handling to prevent damage.
- tack and organize products and materials safely and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by documenting material movements.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and organized, storing materials in designated areas.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment promoting teamwork and high morale.
- Participate in regular housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating forklifts and handling materials.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and immediately report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety instructions.
- Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a workplace safety culture.
- Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any issues or concerns.
- Assist with bi-annual plant inventories.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Forklift -Loader Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of forklift operation and material handling procedures.
- Ability to read and understand load orders and inventory documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
