RSU/MSAD #61 is seeking a well-organized individual to perform tasks in Payroll, Purchasing, and other Business Office functions.
Qualifications:
· Associate degree or comparable level of related school business office experience preferred but not required.
· Fingerprinting and background check (CHRC authorization) through the State of Maine Department of Education is a state requirement.
Position Description:
· The successful candidate will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the Business Office, including providing administrative and organizational support to the Finance Coordinator. The job includes:
1. Preparation and reconciliation of the district’s bi-weekly payrolls
2. Purchasing/Bidding, ongoing maintenance of employee files
3. Employee will be cross trained in other business office duties
4. Excellent verbal, written communication, and computer skills required
5. Must be able to design and maintain Excel spreadsheets/Google sheets and manage documents using MS Office and Google Docs
6. Individual must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, attention to detail, maintain a positive and professional attitude, and be a team player
7. Greet and direct incoming visitors and promptly notify appropriate staff upon their arrival
8. Sort and distribute incoming mail to assigned staff
9. Records cash receipts
10. Assists in the budget process
11. Assists other departments as needed
