Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, organized, and dedicated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our 20+ year management company. Responsibilities include assisting in maintaining our properties in top condition, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and performing light renovations. This role requires a team player who can work with a seasoned tech/ supervisor , assist in managing renovations, and handle on-call emergencies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
General Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair, lighting, and general building repairs.
Plumbing:Address plumbing issues, including unclogging drains and toilets, and repairing minor leaks.
Renovations:Assist in kitchen and bathroom renovations, including installing cabinets, countertops, and flooring (floating wood, laminate, and tile) working with an experienced supervisor.
Turnovers:Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants, ensuring a high-quality "move-in ready" condition.
Grounds Upkeep:Maintain exterior areas, including sanding sidewalks and other safety-related tasks.
Vendor Management:Meet, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors (subs) at properties (Scheduled by our office)
Record Keeping:Accurately track hours, materials, and work orders for different jobs.
On-Call Rotation:Be available for assigned on-call weekends to handle emergency maintenance.
Qualifications
Experience:Proven experience in general maintenance and renovations (painting, plumbing, carpentry). Training is offered for motivated individual with some skills.
Team Player:Ability to work effectively with and under a seasoned technician.
Skills:Strong proficiency in using hand and power tools and interior painting.
Organization:Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Customer Service:Focused on tenant satisfaction and maintaining a professional, courteous attitude.
Physical Ability:Able to lift heavy objects and work in varied weather conditions.
Ability to work with management software/ scheduling system for maintenance.

Pay: $24/hr - 34/hr depending on experience
