We are looking for a dental assistant to make our office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You will ensure excellent patient experience and aid in administrative and basic dental tasks. Assistants should be well-organized, attentive to detail, and respectful of our dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Our team strives to provide the best care possible by delivering superior service to our valued patients. Pay is based on experience and ranges $20-25/hour. Benefits include bonus pay, vacation and holiday pay, 401K, dental benefits, and health insurance. Willing to train the perfect candidate!
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients into our dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep dental operatories clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills
- Dental assistant experience is a plus (knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, or ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing)
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attentive to detail, well-organized, and reliable
