Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer (ID) is responsible for designing and developing online learning solutions. The ID will utilize instructional design and performance improvement processes to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate online courses. The ID works with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and develop educational interventions that incorporate best practices of instructional design and ADA compliance. The ID has ownership of all instructional materials to ensure that instructional quality is built into final project deliverables. The ID directs, coaches, and mentors support personnel and vendors in the creation of instructional materials.
Implement quality assurance processes and ensure ADA compliance, creating ID standards, rubrics, voice over transcripts, and checklists in support of all disability types, with attention to color contrast, captioning, keyboard navigability, focus order, alt text, and more for complex scientific content, illustrations, and data visualizations.
Execute course creation, testing across multiple platforms including various OSs and device types (mobile/desktop), user/member management, portal, and related LMS administration processes
Manage the LMS user experience by providing end-user support for both internal and external learners. Manage secure user/administrator access for program coordinators, managers, and directors as assigned.
Coordinate the generation of data analytic reports generated in the LMS and reporting customizations such as Google Analytics (Data Dashboard). Create documentation, ensure security, and train others in the use of this tool as assigned. Provide custom tables, builds, and reports using multiple filters and queries as assigned.
Coordinate with vendors to oversee enhancement efforts and systemupgrades-including badge integrations, language localizations, tracking system bugs/application issues, and coordinating LMS upgrades and relevant improvements.
Administer LMS integrations such as PayPal andCredly, coordinating communications between vendors and affected internal departments at JAX (Financial Services, IT, Legal).
