Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. High school diploma or its equivalent is preferred with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a Senior General Laborer, Working Foreman, Site Foreman, or Machine Operator II or III.

Brooks Employees will have a physical demand of exerting heavy physical effort in doing tasks such as; frequently lifting and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds without assistance. Objects include but are not limited to signs, tools, pipe, frames and grates, and other construction materials. Must be able to push, pull, or drag objects weighing up 150 pounds without assistance. Able to perform strenuous labor in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
