Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, managing computer systems, and maintaining IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of operating systems, network configurations, and hardware components in a dynamic environment. The IT Specialist will play a critical role in troubleshooting, system management, and delivering exceptional customer service to internal users.
Duties
- Provide technical support and desktop assistance to end-users across various platforms.
- Act as a secondary point of contact, as we have an MSP to handle many of the day-to-day needs of our user needs.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Manage and maintain computer hardware, software applications, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
- Configure and support computer networking components including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and switches to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine updates.
- Lead efforts to improve technology efficiency
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations using appropriate management tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new hardware/software solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with security policies by managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support roles with strong knowledge of computer management and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in operating systems including Windows (including Windows Server)
- Hands-on experience with network configuration including LAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and software troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications and general software support skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear technical guidance to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
