Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. The Quality Technician is responsible for the receipt, inspection, packaging, and shipment of incoming and outgoing materials and products. This role supports quality assurance activities by verifying material compliance with purchase orders, project documentation, and applicable standards. The Quality Technician also assists with the organization, storage, and staging of job-related and inventoried materials, and may support production-related activities as directed by their supervisor.
Duties
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Receive incoming materials electronically into the ERP system.
- Inspect raw materials to verify conformance with purchase orders and applicable project documentation.
- Under supervision, inspect materials designated as critical components to ensure compliance with purchase orders, applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
- Package and ship outgoing products in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Organize, store, and stage materials under supervisor direction using appropriate material-handling equipment, including dollies and forklifts.
- Organize, sort, and maintain inventoried materials under supervisor direction using appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Assist with production-related activities as required and directed by supervision.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of materials used in metal fabrication.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and purchase orders.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Must have experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Must have good organizational abilities and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Valid state driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
