Hews Company, LLC, a leader in the truck body equipment industry, is looking to hire experienced technicians to join our team in our South Portland, ME location (one in shop and one field service tech).

Primary Responsibilities:
Field Service Tech
- Service and repair truck mounted equipment, primarily cranes and moffett's.
- Perform annual crane inspections and PM’s e.g. hydraulic hoses, oil, filters, cylinders, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, air compressors, power take offs, liftgates, hoists, and electrical.
- Document time and job notes
- Coordinate with shop personnel to schedule to plan and set up jobs for success.
Shop Tech
- Fabricate custom truck bodies, racks and various other equipment.
- Install a broad range of truck mounted equipment, including accessories, hydraulic systems and electrical wiring.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair various truck mounted equipment.
- Document time and detailed job notes
- Material handling via forklift and overhead cranes

- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience with hydraulics, welding, DC electrical systems, mechanical. On the job training possible.
- Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team
- Collaborative and open minded
- Detailed documentation of work performed and effective communication with customers and service team
