About the Role:
John F. Murphy Homes is seeking a compassionate and organized Team Leader to provide leadership and direct support within one of our residential programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position combines hands-on caregiving with staff supervision and administrative responsibilities to ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging home environment.
What You'll Do:
Provide direct care and daily support to individuals, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
Lead and mentor residential staff, ensuring quality services and teamwork.
Oversee household operations including scheduling, documentation, budgeting, and compliance.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
Coordinate care with medical and behavioral professionals as needed.
Ensure staff training and adherence to agency and state regulations.
Participate in on-call support and fill in for staff when necessary.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years of direct care experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency).
Valid Maine driver’s license with good driving record and reliable vehicle.
Ability to complete required agency training (First Aid, CPR, Gentle Teaching, etc.).
