Job Overview
John E. O’Donnell and Associates provides tax assessing, mapping, and revaluation services to over 35 Maine communities. We are looking for a full-time field appraiser. Training will be provided.
Duties
This is a five-day, 40 hour per week position, Monday through Friday
A field appraiser is required to have reliable transportation for both summer and winter travel.
There is a mix of outdoor work (property inspections) and indoor work (data entry).
The job consists of driving to individual properties to collect assessment data including pictures, sketches, and property descriptions and entering the data into tax assessing software.
Skills
Excellent verbal communication skills are required; sales or customer service experience is a plus.
Basic competence with Windows in directory navigation and file management is required.
Some experience with spreadsheets is a plus.
